Safety tips for our customers.
1. When booking your mini cab ensure the office is licensed by the public carriage office. This should be indicated on either the drop card or on display in the office. If in doubt you can call The Public Carriage Office or visit the TFL website http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/ and select cabs. On this site you will find all the info regarding using mini cabs and your rights in terms of complaints.
2. Ensure your driver has a bonefide Public Carriage Office picture ID.
3. Ensure before you get into any mini cab, the car has a yellow dimond shape plaque which is located in the top right hand side of the front windscreen, and also on the left hand side of the rear screen. This badge indicates the vehicle has been inspected for safe travel.
4. Always wear a seatbelt especially young children! Though a majority of mini cab drivers are very safe and experienced drivers, they cannot always avoid being in accidents.
5. If you have any type of grievence, overcharging, abuse or any aspect of your journey you are not happy with, you can ask the driver for their driver number and license number, or call the office you booked the cab from and you can either make your complaint to the office which should investigate the matter. If you are still not satisfied with the response you can take the matter further by contacting The Public Carriage Office.
